How can I delete my personal data?

At Mindful Slumber, we respect your privacy and give you full control over your personal data. You can delete your account and associated personal data directly within the Mindful Slumber mobile app on both iOS and Android, manage local data stored on your device, or request deletion by contacting our support team.

Deleting Your Account and Data in the App

You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the app settings.

On iOS:

1. Open the Mindful Slumber app.
2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the top right corner.
4. Select My Data (under the account section).
5. Tap Delete Account & Data.
6. Enter your account password to confirm your identity.
7. Tap Delete Account and confirm the prompt.

On Android:

1. Open the Mindful Slumber app.
2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Scroll down and tap Settings.
4. Select My Data.
5. Tap Delete Account (or Delete Account & Data).
6. Enter your account password to confirm your identity.
7. Tap Delete Account to finalize the deletion.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

• Immediate Access Removal: You will be immediately logged out, and all active authentication sessions and tokens will be cleared from your device.
• Permanent Data Erasure: Your account information, cloud-synchronized progress, journal entries, and associated profile data will be permanently erased from our servers within 7 days. Recovery is not possible after this timeframe.
• Irreversible Action: Once completed, this action cannot be undone.

Managing Locally Stored Data

• Dream Journal Entries: Dream entries stored locally on your device can be deleted individually at any time by navigating to your journal list in the app, selecting an entry, and choosing Delete Dream.
• Downloaded Content: Downloaded meditation tracks and offline audio files can be cleared by going to Settings > Remove Downloaded Meditations.
• Clearing App Storage: Uninstalling the app or clearing the app storage via your device settings will permanently remove all remaining local files, cached audio, and device preferences.

Important Note About Subscriptions

Deleting your Mindful Slumber account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel active subscriptions billed through third-party platforms (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

To avoid recurring subscription charges, be sure to cancel your active subscription directly through your app store before deleting your account:

Requesting Data Deletion via Email

If you no longer have access to the app, cannot log in to your account, or require additional assistance with your personal data:

• Email Our Privacy Team: Send an email to privacy@mindfulslumber.com from the email address linked to your Mindful Slumber account. Please include your request details, and our privacy team will verify your identity and process the deletion in accordance with applicable data privacy laws and regulations.
